As the morning sunlight streams through my window, it illuminates the room, brings a smile to my face, fills my heart with peace, lifts my spirit with joy, and infuses my life with optimism.

Like the morning sunlight, God's light can fill our soul each and every day. How is that possible? It is by our emulating Jesus Christ. When we live righteously in harmony with His laws, the natural result is light. Simply stated:
Righteousness amplified is light.
Unrighteousness amplified is darkness.
Light and Righteousness Are Inextricably Linked.
The ultimate source of both light and righteousness is Jesus Christ who is the "light and the life of the world." (3 Nephi 11:11)
LIGHT ATTRACTS LIGHT.
• The Light of Christ is divine energy, or influence that proceeds from God and "giveth light to every man that cometh into the world." (D&C 84:46)
• Light attracts light. The principle that "light cleaveth unto light" (D&C 88:40) asserts that as we grow in righteousness and spiritual enlightenment, we naturally gravitate towards other sources of light and goodness, including the light within others. This clearly demonstrates the law of attraction.
RIGHTEOUSNESS INCREASES THE LIGHT.
• Righteousness amplifies light. It enhances knowledge and spiritual capacity, and it fosters a deeper connection with God. By living righteously, our ability to receive more light and truth expands: "That which is of God is light; and he that receiveth light and continueth in God receiveth more light; and that light groweth brighter and brighter until the perfect day." (D&C 50:24)
• What is the result of righteousness? The ultimate result is being filled with so much light that "there shall be no darkness in you; and that body which is filled with light comprehendeth all things." (D&C 88:67)
Are You Decreasing Your Own Light Through Negativity?
Think of yourself as a mighty tree. Do negative thoughts creep in like vines trying to climb up the trunk and branches? You possess the power to cut the vine at its root before it suffocates the tree. Deny it nourishment, and the parasitic vine will shrink and die. The tree will then thrive without the burden that blocks the sunlight.

Negative thoughts and actions diminish the light and cast darkness on you and those around you. Embrace your true self and breathe in the life - sustaining light. Open the windows and let the sun shine in by starving negative thoughts and replacing them with positive ones.
Amplify Your Light Through Positivity.
This is the perfect moment to transform your positive thoughts and actions into lifelong habits. Stay vigilant in welcoming only optimism into your conscious and subconscious mind.
Don't look back or regret that you have wasted years on a negative plateau, but look forward with an eye full of faith. Commit yourself purposefully to making this new way of thinking become your whole self. When Christ spoke to the woman who was caught in adultery, He said, "Go, and sin no more." (Bible, John 8:11). In other words, look forward, not backward.
"Seek unto the Lord for His spirit, without any cessation in your efforts, until His spirit dwells within you like eternal burnings. Let the candle of the Lord be lighted up within you, and all is right." ...Brigham Young, Teachings from the Presidents of the Church: Brigham Young, p. 320
By emulating Jesus Christ, your life will be filled with righteousness. In doing so, you will become a "light unto the world" and serve as a positive inspiration to everyone you meet.

Agreed! Everything you shared is true and so appropriate on such a glorious fall day. While walking today, we saw sun brilliantly pouring through golden leaves. His light makes everything more beautiful.
I had never thought of negativity as something that could destroy you. Good analogy.
I love the way you brought all this together so beautifully!
